TSMC 65nm, 45nm Ready for Trial Run in Late 2005, 2007

TSMC is planning trial run for 65nm production process in late 2005 and mass production in the second quarter of 2006. TSMC currently has six clients for its 65nm production process, including Altera, Broadcom, Freescale, Qualcomm, Microsoft, and TI. TSMC has also decided to adopt immersion lithography technology for its 45nm production process, with trial run scheduled for 2007.
